Gus Vaughan Board Member Biography Gus Vaughan, born and raised in Elgin, graduated from Elgin High School in 1964. While at Elgin, Gus played football, basketball, and baseball. After graduating from EHS, he attended Carthage College where he played football and baseball. Gus was a teacher and administrator in Elgin School District U-46 for 33 years. As a member of the Elgin Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors, he has served as Vice-President and President. Gus is actively involved in Senior Softball and has played on teams that have won National and World Championships. In addition, Gus has been named to several All-World Senior Softball Teams. He is married to Judi, has two daughters and four grandchildren. |
