Ron Lange is the immediate past president of the Elgin Sports Hall of Fame Foundation.  Ron grew up in Elgin and graduated from Larkin High School in 1968.  After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Education from Western Illinois University, he began his 33 year teaching career in the elementary grades in U-46.  During his career in U-46, Ron also received his Master’s Degree from St. Xavier University, served as a board member for the Elgin Teachers Association and Illinois Education Association.  In addition, Lange was the vice president, then president of the United Way of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood.  In the field of sports, he has been treasurer of the American Little League, coached baseball in the American Senior League, the Senior Babe Ruth League, which he helped organize in the Fox Valley area, and the Thorobred League. Ron married his wife, Kathie, in 1992, and has two step-children and four grandchildren.
