Mission

• To induct Elgin’s outstanding athletes, coaches/administrators and friends of sports into the Elgin Sports Hall of Fame from candidates submitted by the general public and voted upon by the Foundation’s membership.
  

• To raise money for the college student-athlete scholarship program. Scholarships are awarded to students attending high schools in Elgin. Recipients are chosen by school administrations at the various high schools.
  
  
• To formally present Achievement Awards and recognition to individuals and teams who have contributed to the success of Elgin ’s great sports history during the current year, or through a lifetime of contribution.
